Converse All Star Chuck ’70 Sir Tom Baker

Converse will be releasing another collaboration this time with esteemed continuing their ongoing celebration on punk culture.

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of punk culture that altered the music and style worlds forever, Converse will be releasing a limited quantity of extremely premium Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 sneakers that harness Tom’s rebellious approach to craftsmanship. This Chuck Taylor All Star 70 comes dressed in a alligator flock print on the upper that serves as a reference to the crushed velvet fabrics that are featured in Tom’s suiting. Other details include a sheen yarn upper and tongue, soft goat leather on the toecap, ankle patch, heel stay and inner liner, and the words, “Do What Thou Wilt, So Mote Be It” written on the midsole in pink.

“I WANTED TO CREATE SOMETHING DRAMATIC AND EYE-CATCHING,” SAID SIR TOM BAKER, “MAXIMIZING THE SNEAKER’S SURFACE AREA WITH AS MUCH ARRESTING VISUAL CONTENT AS POSSIBLE, WITHOUT APPEARING TO BE CLICHÉ.”

The Converse All Star Chuck ’70 Sir Tom Baker sneaker will be accompanied by an alligator print dust bag and contrasting vibrant pink, waxed leather laces and will be released in limited quantities beginning Friday, February 19 at Converse stores, online at Converse.com and at select First String retailers worldwide. The sneakers will retail for $140.
