The Nike WMNS Air Max 97 Doernbecher is one of six styles from Nike’s annual Doernbecher collection, and it’s designed by 16-year-old Kirsten Brown. Kirsten underwent a heart transplant and describes herself as a survivor through a bold SRVVR graphic on the upper of the silhouette. Featuring a black and purple color scheme (her favorite color) with teal accents, the outsole of one shoe sports a green ribbon symbolizing heart transplant awareness, and on the other is a red ribbon representing stroke awareness. Finishing details include “Survivor” branding on the heel tabs, a white midsole and black rubber outsole.
