Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low Doernbecher Chloe Swientek

Nike’s annual Doernbecher collection designed by six young patients of the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Oregon has been unveiled and this Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low Doernbecher designed by 10-year-old Chloe Swientek is one of them. Chloe is diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, but that doesn’t stop her from enjoying the things she loves, and it’s featured on the silhouette. Colored in a mixture of blues and purple, her basketball jersey number is seen on the toebox, and the Swoosh features the word breathe, the genetic mutations that cause Chloe’s CF appear on the tongue. Other details include a pair of lungs graphics on the sockliner, a tribute to her mom and dad on the tongue tabs, and replicated on the outsole is Chloe’s port, an implanted device that allows Chloe to receive her medications.
