Nike Kyrie 4 N7

The Nike Kyrie 4 N7 is inspired by the vertical expanse of sky and water. In addition to that inspiration, the shoe also pays tribute to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe by way of the logo on the heels and the use of Dark Obsidian on the upper contrasted by the dye-inspired print on the heel and the tongue. The point guard’s late mother, Elizabeth Ann Larson, was an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux nation. Irving approached Nike and asked for the tribal seal to be incorporated into the shoe, to pay tribute to his mother’s heritage and to reflect his pride in the Standing Rock Sioux community.

The Standing Rock Sioux Tribal council is a governing body empowered by the SRST constitution committed to promoting an environment for the self sufficiency of all tribal members.
