Defined by its innovative simplicity, the Nike Kobe 11 designed by Eric Avar, is essentially an updated take of its predecessor. Incorporating pearlescent TPU threads for its upper, a stronger iteration of Flyknit, this progressive enhancement offers even more support, as well as high performance, lightweight and responsiveness. Cushioning is supplemented with a full-length Lunarlon foam and Zoom unit in the heel.
Flaunting a classic Red and Black palette for its inaugural colorway, the theme is also a subtle nod to the Greek god Achilles, as well as Bryant’s season-ending surgery in 2013. A graphic of the hero is seen on the right heel, while the left features four-stitch marks representing the four feet of thread used in Bryant’s 2013 Achilles surgery.
You can find this latest silhouette at Nike retailers starting January 9, 2016 for $200, alongside complementary apparel.
