Done in a White/Black-Game Royal color scheme, this latest unveiled colorway of the Nike KD 17 definitely gives us some Nike Air Penny line vibes. Inspired by the colors of the Orlando Magic (the team that drafted Penny Hardaway), the KD 17 is defined by its wavy vertical lines that are inspired by the Air Max Plus’s thermoplastic veins. This standout feature helps KD’s latest signature model stand out from the pack. Additionally the KD 17 also features a Cushlon midsole design that mimics the contours of the Nike Air Talaria running shoe. This feature manages to seamlessly blend style with functionality. Other design details include forefoot Zoom cushioning offering excellent performance and comfort, the TPU shank helps with stability, while the Air Zoom-cushioned rubber outsole helps with durability regardless of where you ball out. KD branding is spotted on the tongues and forefoot, while the design of Nike Swoosh on the lateral side is clearly inspired by the one you’re used to seeing on the Nike Air Penny 1.
