The Nike ISPA Road Warrior is a new silhouette from the brand’s innovative “ISPA” line: Improvise. Scavenge. Protect. Adapt. According to the Swoosh, this silhouette references to the aesthetics of the marathon breaking Nike Air Zoom Alphafly Next% silhouette, and the energy return of the Nike Air Zoom BB NXT. Furthermore, its open floating heel derives from early Nike Shox prototypes, but shifts from the boing boing effect of the pillars to incorporate double stack zoom pods and double under foot plates. Its utilitarian vibe also incorporates a traditional Japanese split-toe cage layout to exemplify a perfect marriage of various styles merged into one cohesive design.
