This year’s Doernbecher collection will have not one, but two different creations of the Nike Air Max Zero. Here is the pair designed by Chehayla Hyatt.
Chehayla is a 10-year old that is currently battling cystic fibrosis. This is a genetic disorder that affects the lungs, pancreas, liver, kidneys, and intestine. Although Chehayla is diagnosed with this disorder, it doesn’t stop her from having a contagious vibrant personality. She manages to display her personality on to her shoes quite nicely. Her version of the Nike Air Max Zero is very colorful and full of details. These details include the bold colors, a few cat faces here and there, a set of speckled laces, stripes and purple hearts – those representing ribbons wore for cystic fibrosis awareness. Chehayla also goes by the nickname “Nugget” (given to her by her sister since its here favorite food), which she decided to put on the lace dubraes as a nice finishing touch.
