While sitting in its archives for quite some time, the recently revived Nike Air Rift caps off the limited edition Liberty of London x Nike Summer 2015 collection, which already includes the Air Max 90 Ultra, Nike Cortez, Nike Zenji, Air Max Thea and the Nike Tennis Classic Ultra.
Alongside the aforementioned models, this Liberty of London x Nike Air Rift flaunts the iconic “Merlin” print from Liberty of London, which was actually originally designed back in 1972. Sporting the vivid multicolor geometric pattern across its breathable textile-engineered mesh upper in White, the silhouette’s overall sneaker/sandal hybrid is an eye-catching aesthetic as well, defined by a split-toe construction.
Reinforced by matching two velcro closures on the heel and midfoot, the model is solidified by a flexible natural motion sole unit in Black and White that provides enhanced traction, as well as capping the overall palette.
Retailing for $120, the Liberty of London x Nike Air Rift “Merlin” will arrive first at Liberty London on April 23, followed by a global release at select Nike accounts on May 4th.
The rest of the Liberty of London x Nike Summer 2015 footwear collection, alongside complimentary apparel will then drop by May 15th.
