Converse One Star Mi Gente

The yearly Converse Mi Gente Collection celebrates the Latino American family heritage that places an emphasis on strength, optimism, and hard work, all key values passed through generations. This year’s Mi Gente” Collection is crafted by Latino American voices within the brand as the four-piece collection pays homage to family traditions.

The Converse Mi Gente 2023 Collection includes two limited-edition iterations of the One Star Pro and Chuck Taylor All Star. The One Star Pro draws inspiration from the Black Butterfly, symbolizing migration and transformation, with tongue graphics. The One Star Pro comes with an upper that features designs inspired by the tradition of reading coffee grounds. The Chuck Taylor All Star showcases the healing properties of plants as they decorated with chamomile flower, aloe, and linden tea leaf patterns. Another key design feature includes the “sana sana” lace keeper, found on both shoes, which is a encouraging Latino saying that basically translates to “If you don’t heal today, you’ll heal tomorrow.” when the entire saying is recited.
