Dubbed the Grand Tourer, this collab between New Balance and Concepts is inspired by vintage cars. The sneaker uses carbon fiber on the heel and a full suede upper for that luxury feel. The colors used on the shoe are a reference to European road maps. As for the packaging, the Concepts x New Balance 998 Grand Tourer will come housed in a checkered box to represent a racing flag.
The launch will take place on December 26th with the NYC Concepts store setting up an exhibit/experience with Classic Cars Club that will feature classic cars that inspired the shoe. The West Coast pop-up spot in Costa Mesa, California will be complemented with the help of Period Correct vintage cars. Retail price is $215 and they release noon via CNCPTS online as well as CNCPTS in Boston and NYC at 10 a.m. EST and at 10 a.m. PST at the Period Correct pop-up (located at 2950 Randolph Avenue, Unit A, in Costa Mesa).
