The AFEW x Asics Gel Lyte 3 Beauty of Imperfection is inspired by the Wabi-Sabi philosophy and is meant to embody that beauty lies in imperfection. This way of thinking is evident by the sneaker’s tiger stripes featuring a “Wear Away” upper that forms its own texture as the shoe is worn. Additional details include stitched tiger stripes on the inside, a leather heel mold – used for the first time on the Gel Lyte 3, printed cork insoles, a stitched Wabi Sabi logo on the heel, and gum rubber outsoles.
